An Erasmus+ youth exchange "iStand For Change" took place on 1-9 December 2016 in Loutraki, Greece
The youth exchange "iStand for change’’ took place from 1st to 9th of December, 2016 in a beautiful Loutraki, Greece. The project was granted by Erasmus + program. Creative and active humans from Serbia, Poland, Greece and Georgia were gathered to learn, share and exchange their experiences about Healthy lifestyle, Social inclusion and exclusion.
The first day was full of joy and curiosity. People were getting acquainted to each other. It was clear that something amazingly awesome was going to happen during following eight days. Second day was restful as well. Participants were playing name games , after that it was time to discuss their expectations, hopes and fears. As a result of team buildings we were ready to work as a team. Next several days we were discussing topics about healthy lifestyle. We were trying to show the most problematic issues. Presentations and visualization helped us to share our knowledge more effectively. Evenings were a real intercultural adventure for all of us. Each country presented traditional cuisine, costumes, dances and songs. It was high time to make new friends and have fun. For the following days we were working on social inclusion and exclusion topic discussing different approaches and views. Simulations and non-formal activities encouraged us to see a bigger picture of this issue. Our last days were dedicated to Erasmus + , YouthPass workshop and 8 key competences of lifelong learning. We were lucky enough and took a wonderful trips to Nafplio (a seaport town in the Peloponnese) and the Corinth Canal.
Everything in life is temporary, so if things are going good you have to enjoy it because it won’t last forever. We all knew about it, but time is never enough ,so our last day was full of sadness and tears. On the very first day of the project you only know names and faces , but on the last day you know a real people behind them. Different people bring out different sides of you and it’s the most interesting process. In conclusion I can only express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to this amazing project. We learnt a lot about healthy lifestyle and made good friends. It was a memorable adventure of a lifetime.
