Project "iChange for Future" in Agros, Cyprus

An Erasmus+ youth exchange "iChange for Future" took place on 5-13 November 2016 in Agros, Cyprus

Last week another ERASMUS+ youth exchange – iChange for Future has successfully finished in Agros, Cyprus. The participants have left sunny island and returned beck to their home countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Poland.

During their stay at the beautiful village the participants from each country not just discussed, shared their experiences, ideas and gained theoretical knowledge about topical issues about climate change and environment care but actually lived with eco-friendly lifestyle, implemented and applied energy saving techniques, recycling principles and realized that each individuals role is essential for fighting with climate change.

The Participants prepared different campaigns in order to involve more people in the eco-friendly lifestyle. During the project participants were lucky to have two trips - one study visit to the EU House in Nocosia, where they learned more about EU, European Parliament, and European commission and another one at FRIENDS OF THE EARTH office where participants explored how to plan and implement ecological campaigns.

On the last day of the youth exchange participants planted trees in the city park of Argos and made promise to come beck someday to visit grown up trees and each other. We hope that promise will be kept and friendship and positive ecological impact on the world will grow just like the trees we plant with love.
