An Erasmus+ Youth Exchange took place on 6 - 12 September 2015 Jasenie, Slovakia
More than 20 young participants from Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey traveled hours to visit the „hearth“ of Europe – Slovakia. Youngsters arrived at Chata Trangoška because of project "Tolerance - a fact or a fiction?!".
During the 8 days working program they discussed about the themes like discrimination, hate, racism and xenophobe. The aim of this exchange was to find the solution for the aggressive behavior between the young people.
The activities were based on non-formal education methodology and stimulated active participation of each young person. Daily programme also included informal activities, such as visiting to the city center, tasting traditional meals, hiking to 2024m Chopoc mountain, making bubbles and many more.
At the same time this project gave youngsters the possibility to work in mixed nationality groups and exchange ideas and experiences as well as gave them a platform to find areas of mutual concern and continue to work together in future.
The project supported cultural diversity and tolerance. The participants got skills which will help them to experience how to live and act in inter-cultural environment, listen and hear the opinions and ideas from other youth coming with different background and to learn how to live under common roof.
